Vibrancy Open Air is an established local festival featuring an outdoor stage in front of the iconic red walls of the Heidelberg Castle ruins. Since 2022, around 1,500 visitors have experienced electronic music in a unique setting.
We supported the festival in the lighting department—from building the rig according to the organizer’s plan to show programming and onsite operation.
The lineup regularly includes well-known DJs and smaller electronic live acts.
Besides a strong show look, atmospheric lighting of the architecture and artists is a key focus. As the event starts in the afternoon, daylight-visible, outdoor-rated LED panel fixtures are used.
The show lighting is based on PROLIGHTS Astra 330 Hybrid IP, with beams made visible using haze from HazeBase Base Hazer. The iconic V is built from Prolyte H20LB ladder truss and fitted with Astera AX1 PixelTubes. The edges of the DJ booth are illuminated with Astera Titan Tubes. Front light comes from Astera AX5 TriplePAR. Architectural lighting is created with Astera AX9 PowerPAR and PROLIGHTS Solar 27Q. For daylight-capable area lighting we use GLP JDC Burst 1.
